The candlestick reflects the renowned classic Viennese style. The maker’s trademark itself is artful and can therefore no longer be precisely identified. The monogram JR with a crown of nobility refers to a noble owner for whom the chandelier was made. Because silver was an expensive material and only few could afford it, silver objects like this one were only found in aristocratic and upper middle-class households.
