Museum Selfie Day 2016 brought together lovers of art and culture around the world on January 20. The event, which Mar Dixon launched in 2014 to “encourage people to visit museums and participate a bit with art or collections,” has become a global phenomenon that attracts everyone from average-joe museumgoers to star curators and celebrities such as Jay-Z and Beyoncé.
In accord with the motto “if it looks like a museum, feels like a museum, and thrills like a museum, it IS a museum,” Dorotheum joined in the fun for Museum Selfie Day 2016 on its Instagram and Twitter feeds.
